Many of Los Cabos' plastic surgeons operate out of the private hospitals along the Tourist Corridor and in San José del Cabo, and many work regularly with patients who fly in from the US and Canada.
Look for certification with the Mexican Council of Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery (CMCPER), ask where your procedure will take place, and plan enough time in Cabo for follow-up visits before you fly home.

Questions to ask
How do I check a surgeon's credentials?
Ask for their CMCPER certification and professional licence (cédula profesional), and verify them with the issuing bodies.
How long should I stay after surgery?
It depends on the procedure. Your surgeon will advise, but one to two weeks is common for larger procedures.
Where are procedures performed?
Usually at a private hospital such as H+, Saint Luke's or Hospiten. Ask which one before booking.
